The Hochstetler family and the staff of Hotel Estes recognize that physical improvements are only half of what make for an enjoyable hotel experience. We are all committed to doing all we can to make sure everything at our hotel is as clean and welcoming as possible. We are passionate about this property, both what it is and what it will become. We hope returning guests will be pleased to recognize our continuing progress and new guests will want to return. As a new year begins and we continue to move forward, we will occasionally add posts and pictures to this blog so those interested can follow the completion of our various projects. Now, on to 2013!
Hoch Resorts News
In March of 2012 the Hochstetler family acquired Hotel Estes and it has been a busy 9 months. From the beginning we had some truly spectacular views going for us; the sunrise is particularly worth mentioning. Another asset was the hand-crafted pine furniture, which gives our rooms the true ‘mountain feel’, demanded by the scene from the window. However, there were certainly some major improvements to be made to the hotel. We immediately launched into an ongoing process of updating the property with the goal of making Hotel Estes one of the most charming and comfortable destinations in town.April saw the arrival of brand new beds and comforters in each room. In May, we began the project of updating the aesthetics of the hotel with new railings, door and window trim, etc. Over the summer, we continued both the interior and exterior improvements. We added new wood trim and new decor in all of the rooms, new siding, the addition of a fair amount of green space and more. Our current projects include replacing the carpet in at least 20 rooms, putting new pillows and lamps in all rooms, continuing to add green space, finishing the last of the railings, and rebuilding the pool fence.
